New Delhi:(Page3 News Network)-Cold wave today continued to sweep across the national capital leaving Delhites to shiver under biting cold condition. According to the MeT department, the maximum temperature was recorded 11.9 degree Celsius, 9 notches below normal while the minimum settled at 2.4 degree Celsius.
The weatherman has predicted mainly clear sky during the day and the maximum and minimum temperature will be hovering around 13 degree Celsius and 3 Degree Celsius.
In Uttar Pradesh, intense cold wave has claimed 15 more lives, taking the death toll to 155. The schools have been closed for further two days. Rail, road and air services remain disrupted due to fog. The Met office has predicted no respite in the ongoing coldwave for the next 24 hours.
In Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, severe cold weather conditions are prevailing. Our Leh Correspondent Yangchan Dolma reports that a series of tournaments like ice hockey, ice skating and figure skating are being organized here.
