Dhule:(Page3 News Network)-In Maharashtra, three people were killed when the police fired at a mob after clashes broke out between members of two communities at Dhule town on Sunday.
More than 100 people, including 22 policemen, injured in the violence. All the injured have been admitted in Dhule district civil hospital.
A senior police officer said that the violence started at a hotel over a trivial matter and spread to some parts of Dhule city area. Curfew was imposed in parts of the city after many shops and some vehicles were burnt by the mob.
The situation is under control now.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and Home Minister R R Patil have appealed to the people for maintaining peace in the area.
